Use the following Pollinator Safe Businesses, and tell them we sent you!

As more and more people, communities, and neighborhoods pledged to be "pollinator safe," Boulder experienced an immense need for bee safe (AKA neonic-free) plants and plant products. In recognition of that need, we launched a retailer campaign, urging local businesses to educate consumers and sell neonic-free plants. Please see the lists below of bee safe retailers, landscape and lawn care providers, tree care companies, farms, and food companies.

The following companies have signed our Pollinator Safe Retail pledge at some level. While many of these companies may still sell some products treated with neonicotinoids, they have committed to move towards purchasing neonic-free plants and plant materials, and to have some neonic-free options. When you go to these companies, you should still speak to staff about the products that you're purchasing to ensure that they are neonic-free (and don't buy any products that may have been treated with neonicotinoids!). A good rule of thumb is to buy organic: all products labeled "organic" are automatically free of neonicotinoids.
